Put the museum on a day it is open
Musée Unterlinden’s 2026 visitor terms list a €14 full-price ticket. The usual opening pattern is Wednesday to Monday, with Tuesday closed. Make the museum the main indoor visit if its collection interests you, then leave the rest of the day for the streets and canals.
From the station, the museum describes an approximately 15-minute walk. Drop your bags first if possible. The free Cœur de ville shuttle is another option within the central area, subject to its route and service hours.
A village day needs its own ticket
The Kut’zig ticket is listed at €32 per adult for a day of hop-on, hop-off travel on its route. Reserve before boarding and use the operating calendar to choose a date. Pick two villages with time for lunch rather than aiming to leave the bus at every stop.
For a stay entirely in Colmar, keep that excursion cost out of the first day’s plan. The museum, Little Venice and a longer meal are already a complete day.

Eating for Less
For a smaller Alsatian meal, look for tarte flambée on a menu and ask about the portion before ordering several dishes. A bakery purchase works for a village-day lunch when restaurant hours do not fit the bus schedule.
Worth Paying For
