Put the market before the river
Make Victor Hugo market the morning stop: its usual opening is 7am to 1.30pm, Tuesday to Sunday. The first-floor restaurants offer a seated-lunch option above the produce stalls. Read the menu before sitting down, because a market setting does not by itself guarantee a low bill.
Continue through the centre towards the Garonne after lunch. Our suggested plan leaves the afternoon for riverside walking and a café, with an indoor visit if the weather turns. This fits better than arriving at the market after most stalls have closed.
Separate the airport journey from city travel
The Tisséo airport-shuttle information lists its stops, including the bus station and central stops. Match the stop to your room before choosing a transfer. The right option depends on the complete journey, not only the time spent on the airport bus.
For a large attraction outside the centre, give it its own block of time and return transport. A day with one substantial visit and a relaxed dinner will be more useful than an itinerary full of missed entry times.
The Jacobins church and cloister are different visits
The Jacobins visitor page allows free church entry, with a ticket for the cloister and other rooms: €5 for the permanent route, or €9 during exhibitions. Monday is closed, and Thursday is reserved for accompanied groups by booking. Pick another day for an ordinary individual visit.

The airport single is €9.50 under the fare table effective from July 2026. Daytime departures are normally every 15 minutes. Use the airport product rather than an ordinary city single.
