Plan a city stay that still works without beach weather
Use the boulevard and old-centre streets as one easy route, then choose the market, a museum or another neighbourhood for a separate block. The beach is pebbled and exposed, and sea conditions or rain can change the day. A successful Batumi plan should still offer something useful when swimming is not comfortable.
Waterfront rooms suit evening walks but can bring noise, wind and higher prices. A room nearer the old centre or a practical bus route may work better for food and transport. Check whether a property marketed as Batumi is actually outside the central area.
Give the botanical garden enough travel time
The garden lies outside the central walking area and deserves several hours. Confirm the current entrance, transport and return before leaving. Slopes, humidity and rain can make the visit more demanding than a flat city park. Keep a central museum, market or café route as the weather alternative.
Include Batumi Central in every rail plan
The railway station is outside the old-town core. Add the city transfer when using a Tbilisi train. For Kutaisi, confirm whether the service begins in the city or at the airport and where it stops in Batumi.
Add botanical-garden transport, airport or station transfers and intercity tickets separately to the ordinary city budget.
