For Grindelwald village and the First gondola, the operator directs rail visitors to continue beyond Grindelwald Terminal to Grindelwald station. The First valley station is then about a 10-minute walk away. Check the actual Interlaken Ost train time and follow its destination signs. Choose the correct stop for your plan and price any mountain railway or gondola separately. |

Follow the signs and onboard destination for Grindelwald. Do not rely on an old instruction to always choose the rear coaches: the operating arrangement can change. Lauterbrunnen is a different valley destination.
Terminal is useful for a different mountain
Get off at Grindelwald Terminal for the Eiger Express connection when that is your plan. For the village and the First gondola approach, use the suitable village stop and local route. A ticket into Grindelwald is not automatically a ticket to First or Jungfraujoch.
Tickets and local travel
Use the operator information and SBB journey planner to choose the actual departure. Read the fare conditions: an ordinary ticket and a train-specific Supersaver ticket have different flexibility. Only select a discount if you hold the required card.
