Gdańsk Airport: getting into the city
For central Gdańsk, plan around the station closest to your room rather than choosing a train simply because its destination says Gdańsk.
By train
The airport’s rail guidance describes a change at Gdańsk Wrzeszcz for Gdańsk Główny or Gdańsk Śródmieście. Look up the complete journey from the airport to your final station. Follow the current platform information when changing, especially with bags or a short connection.
If you are staying elsewhere in the Tricity
Sopot and Gdynia have different useful services. Some airport trains run through; others need a change. Gdynia can also be reached on services via Osowa. Check the destination and stopping pattern instead of boarding the first train away from the airport.
Tickets and a late arrival
Use the current railway planner for the full fare and ticket conditions. Do not assume a city bus or tram ticket covers the airport rail journey. Compare the connection with a bus or licensed taxi for your address, particularly when arriving after the last suitable train.
Before the return trip
Allow for the local journey to the station, any interchange and the walk into the terminal. Save the airport stop name and a later backup connection, while still leaving enough time for your airline’s check-in requirements.
