Night Train Security Protocols

• Lock the Compartment Deadbolt: Couchette and sleeper carriages feature interior mechanical deadbolts and security chains that cannot be opened from the corridor even with a conductor’s key. Always engage the manual lock before falling asleep.
• Sleep on Top of Your Valuables: Never place your daypack with your passport, laptop, or money on the floor or under the bottom bunk. Place it between your head and the compartment wall, or tuck it inside your sleeping bag liner.
