Settle into the centre first
The pedestrian streets, Sea Garden and waterfront make a useful first afternoon after a train or coach. Leave your bag, find the nearest food shop and take a walk that you can shorten if the journey has been tiring.
South Bus Station and the railway station sit near the centre. This is convenient for a trip with several onward journeys, but choose the room itself carefully: early traffic or an awkward entrance can matter more than a small saving.
The salt pools are a separate visit
The municipal visitor page for Solnitsi lists €5 for entry to the mud and lye zone, north of the main city beaches. It is not a free public swimming pool, and the surrounding salt works are not all open for bathing.
Check seasonal access before setting out. Take suitable footwear, water and something to protect your belongings. The dark sand can become very hot. Follow the staff's instructions and skip the activity if it does not suit you; there is plenty to do along the ordinary waterfront.
Airport bus details that matter
Line 15 runs between South Bus Station and Sarafovo via the airport. Some departures marked 15A omit the terminal and use the roundabout stop. Follow the timetable for the specific journey, especially when returning with a suitcase.
The operator lists €0.80 for an onboard single city ticket. Its electronic products have different conditions. Leave waiting time and the walk from South Bus Station outside the bus journey estimate.
A day in Nessebar
The Nessebar service leaves South Bus Station, sector 3. Choose the route via Ravda and Nessebar Old Town if that is your destination. The service via Kableshkovo reaches Nessebar New Town instead. The words on the route matter more than simply finding a bus marked Sunny Beach.

Leave room for the coast
A train from Plovdiv or Sofia can take much of a travel day. Avoid booking a salt-pool visit or a distant beach immediately after an arrival that could be delayed. If the weather turns, stay in the city and move the outdoor outing to the next day.
Keep flights, intercity travel and paid visits separate from the daily spending example. A beach day with no hired equipment will use that allowance differently from a day trip with museum tickets.
