Make the colonnades the centre of the day
Follow the river through the spa centre and arrange your walk around the Hot Spring and the other colonnades. The official town guide helps you locate the Hot Spring before choosing the rest of the walk. Leave time for a café stop rather than treating every colonnade as another appointment.
You can appreciate the architecture without booking a treatment programme. For an overnight stay, compare a simple room with a package that names the treatments it includes. Check those inclusions before paying for facilities you may not use.
Check Diana before heading uphill
The Diana operator places the lower funicular station on Mariánská beside Grandhotel Pupp. It publishes seasonal hours and service exceptions. Check that notice for your visit instead of relying on an old September closure or replacement-bus arrangement. A published seasonal timetable alone does not confirm that today's service is running.
The operator currently lists adult fares of 110 CZK one way and 165 CZK return, with free tower admission. The fare pays for help with the hill. Walking is another choice if the terrain and weather suit you. The funicular stations have steps, so ask about assistance before depending on the ride for an accessible visit.
Keep an indoor option ready
The Home of Becherovka visitor centre is a possible wet-weather visit. Choose it for an interest in the drink and its production. Allow time afterwards for your bus or train instead of putting a tasting immediately before departure.
Where to Stay
Choose the spa centre if evening walks along the Teplá are the point of the stay. Around T. G. Masaryka and Tržnice, you are better placed for everyday shops and local transport. Read a spa package’s treatment list before paying for services you may not use.

The Home of Becherovka visitor centre on T. G. Masaryka is an indoor option for an interest in the local liqueur. Choose a tour for its exhibition and tasting details, and book a language you understand.
Skip / Save Your Money
Diana observation tower itself has free admission. The usual paid funicular is transport to the hill, not a mandatory tower entry. If you are comfortable with the climb and conditions are suitable, walking avoids that transport cost.

A hotel described as a spa hotel does not tell you which treatments are included. Ask for the treatment names, length and number of sessions. If you only want the colonnades and a walk, book accommodation without paying for an unused programme.
