Share a ticket only if you share the journey
For two or three people exploring together, the CTS 24H TRIO is a concrete option: €10.20 for the group, valid for 24 hours. It covers unlimited eligible city-network journeys, including tram D to Kehl. With a new physical ticket, add €0.20 for the support.

Keep the old centre as a walking outing
Our suggested first route joins the cathedral area, Petite France and the waterside paths. Stop for lunch within that area instead of crossing town for another attraction. Add a boat trip if you want time seated with views of the city from the water.
For a village day in Alsace, choose the village and return transport before leaving Strasbourg. A town name close on the map can still involve a separate bus beyond the railway station.

Where to Stay
Grand Île puts the old centre outside the door; the station area makes arrival and onward travel simpler. For a winter market visit, prioritise the walking route to the centre over a room that needs a late connection after every evening out.
