Novi Sad pairs a pedestrian centre with Petrovaradin Fortress across the Danube. The city remains easy to explore, but the railway journey currently uses Petrovaradin station and a connecting shuttle because Novi Sad’s main station is closed.

Include Petrovaradin in the rail plan
The current Srbija Voz timetable uses Petrovaradin station and notes a bus connection between Petrovaradin and Novi Sad. Soko services require a seat reservation. Check the train and shuttle together in both directions.
Use one full day well
Walk the central streets and market area, then cross to Petrovaradin with time for the fortress. Avoid fixing a late dinner against the final shuttle and train home.
Use Novi Sad tourism for current events and visitor information. Festival dates can change both access and room prices.
