Separate the old city from the wider coast
Kaleiçi, the harbour and the central waterfront make a sensible first day. The lanes are atmospheric but can be steep, noisy and difficult for vehicles. A room inside the old city suits evening walks; a room near a tram or bus corridor may be easier for beaches, the airport and the otogar.
Choose one wider outing rather than treating every beach, waterfall and archaeological site as part of central Antalya. The coast stretches far beyond the city, and an attraction described as “Antalya” can still require a long road journey. Check the entrance, return and shade before committing to an exposed summer day.
Match the beach to transport and conditions
Konyaaltı and Lara create different city journeys. Confirm the section you want, changing facilities and the return after sunset. Wind, heat and sea conditions can alter a beach plan. Keep a museum, old-city walk or long lunch as the flexible alternative.
Include the airport and otogar transfers
Use the airport transport page for current bus and mass-transit information. The airport has multiple terminals, so check the correct stop. Long-distance coaches use Antalya Otogar outside the old city. Leave enough time for that local transfer before a Fethiye or Pamukkale connection.
