Choose a museum, guided heritage visit or carefully selected interior, then climb towards the fortress only when access, weather and daylight are suitable. Wear shoes for steep polished surfaces and leave time for the descent. Confirm the Peja coach before the station closes or the evening becomes busy.

Use a confirmed direct coach to Peja when it fits, then leave bags before exploring the centre or nearby heritage. Treat Rugova as a separate mountain plan: arrange the vehicle or guide, name the route, check conditions and agree the return before leaving town. If those details are not clear, keep the afternoon in Peja and save the gorge for a properly planned visit.

Compare the limited Trainkos service with a current coach and choose the option that protects the onward plan. The railway and bus station reach different parts of Pristina, so include the last city or airport transfer. Keep luggage simple and avoid attaching a flight to the advertised arrival. If the margin is narrow, return the previous evening or add a final Pristina night.
Departure-day allowance excludes another hotel night. The Peja to Pristina ticket, airport line and any mountain activity are additional.

Begin in Pristina for the airport and capital, spend two nights in Prizren for the historic centre and fortress, then use Peja for a final town day and a carefully planned Rugova option. Returning from Peja to Pristina is a real travel leg and should remain visible in the last day.
This is a moving itinerary, so choose rooms that make the station transfer manageable. Prizren's old centre is convenient for evenings but not beside the bus station. In Peja, a central room suits the return to Pristina; a mountain guesthouse changes the final-day transport completely.
A gorge viewpoint, village visit and long hike are not the same outing. Confirm transport to the starting point, the route, weather and return. If conditions are poor, use Peja for local heritage and keep the mountain day for another visit. Do not let a guide title promise more than the available daylight permits.
Coaches usually offer more flexibility. Trainkos can be useful when the limited departure fits. Compare the arrival station in Pristina and the onward airport or hotel transfer before choosing. Keep the last night in Pristina if the flight is early.
With four days, omit Peja rather than reducing Prizren to a rushed stop. With three, use Pristina and Prizren only. Add airport travel, mountain transport and guides separately to the example total.

Take a direct coach from Pristina Bus Station to Prizren Bus Station, then continue to the old centre or room. Allow for city traffic and do not schedule the fortress climb immediately after arrival. The station transfer with luggage is part of the day even though the intercity journey is short.

Train or bus · Compare the current train and coaches for your travel day
Compare a coach from Peja Bus Station with the limited train from Peja Railway Station. The two options arrive in different parts of Pristina, so include the transfer to the final hotel or airport. Choose flexibility over a scenic rail preference when a missed departure would threaten the onward plan.
With four days, remove the separate Prizren heritage day or Peja. With three, use Pristina and Prizren only and keep the airport or onward journey separate.
