Travel from Brașov’s railway station
Allow about an hour on a direct CFR train to Sinaia, plus the journey from your Brașov accommodation to the station. Choose a service that stops at Sinaia itself. The current route is a main railway connection, not a dedicated castle shuttle.
Keep operator fares separate
Use CFR for its dated train and fare. Softrans also publishes a 14.50 RON fare between Brașov and Sinaia, but only on its own service. Compare availability and return times before choosing; a cheaper outward ticket is less useful if the return leaves too little time.
Give the visit enough room
Peleș is uphill from Sinaia station and uses timed tickets. Read the opening days and conservation closures, then leave room for the approach, entry and lunch. Pelișor has a separate ticket. In poor weather, choose a shorter town visit if needed and avoid adding a mountain ascent simply because it appears nearby on the map.
