Take the northbound coastal train
Use København H to Helsingør Station. Direct regional services take roughly 50–60 minutes; see the current DSB timetable. Helsingør is in Denmark. Helsingborg, across the water, is a different destination in Sweden.
Choose the ticket for the full journey
City Pass Large covers Helsingør, while City Pass Small is limited to the Copenhagen area. Large starts at DKK200 for 24 hours. Check the total for your return rail journey and other travel before buying a pass. Kronborg admission is separate from transport.
Keep time for the harbour walk
The station is near the old centre and the waterfront. Continue through the Culture Harbour area towards Kronborg, allowing for the walk rather than booking an entry at the instant your train arrives. The Culture Yard library gives you an indoor pause; exhibitions or events can have separate admission.
Decide on a castle day or a shorter outing
Kronborg has seasonal hours and costs DKK150 for regular adult entry at the door, with a lower online price. Check the visit calendar before buying the train ticket. You can also spend a shorter day on the town streets and waterfront without adding the castle interior.
