Check the platform information and walking time for every change. Connections are not guaranteed to be cross-platform. If you need lifts or have heavy bags, choose more time rather than relying on a very short interchange.
Arrive in the village, then reach the room
At Visp, continue on the Matterhorn Gotthard railway towards Zermatt. There is no need to hire a car for the final valley: private visitors normally leave cars at Tasch. Ask the hotel about slopes and luggage assistance after the station.
Tickets and local travel
Use the operator information and SBB journey planner to choose the actual departure. Read the fare conditions: an ordinary ticket and a train-specific Supersaver ticket have different flexibility. Only select a discount if you hold the required card.
