Match the bus stop to your Limassol plan
The Intercity service starts its published Larnaca departure times at Nikolaidis Building and runs to Limassol's New Port, with stops along the way. Check those intermediate stops before travelling. Staying near the old town does not mean you need to ride all the way to New Port and backtrack.
The Old Port beside the castle and the New Port terminus are different places. Use the stop names on the operator's route page with your accommodation address, especially if you are carrying luggage. Allow about 90 minutes for the complete bus route, plus the time to and from the stops.
Keep airport travel separate
An adult Intercity cash single costs €5. This is not the airport shuttle fare. If arriving at Larnaca Airport, compare a direct Limassol Airport Express departure with travelling into Larnaca and changing to Intercity. The better choice depends on the flight time and the stop you need in Limassol.
Carry cash for Intercity and check the current conditions of any return or multi-ride ticket before buying it. Local EMEL bus travel in Limassol is another product. Do not assume an urban day ticket covers this intercity journey.
Keep arrival day near the old town
Once you have left your bags, the castle area and Molos seafront can make a comfortable first afternoon. Castle admission is separate from transport. Leave a mountain trip or a longer coastal outing for another day rather than adding it after a delayed bus.
If this is a day trip, choose the return from the actual Limassol stop you will use. A time shown for the terminal is not necessarily the time at an intermediate stop. Keep a later option and enough room for lunch instead of planning around the final service.
