Choosing your journey

Compare a coach for your travel day with the current Trainkos rail timetable. Both cross an international border, so documents and a flexible arrival are part of the journey.

Treat this as a border journey whichever mode you choose

Coaches usually provide the simplest public connection. Rail can be attractive when the limited Trainkos service fits, but it should be checked for the actual direction and day. Compare Skopje bus station with Skopje railway station, and do the same for the arrival in Pristina, before deciding.

Use the Trainkos timetable for rail and a current route search for coaches. Confirm ticket purchase, luggage and whether a coach is direct. Carry the documents required for both North Macedonia and Kosovo where they are easy to reach.

Border processing makes the arrival time uncertain. Do not place a separate flight or non-refundable onward ticket close behind it. If Serbia is later in the route, check whether the way you entered Kosovo affects that onward crossing before finalising the wider itinerary. The complete journey includes the city transfer from the Pristina station to the room.

Keep the ticket record and operator contact available offline. If rail is chosen, verify the return or backup coach as well, because a limited service can leave few practical alternatives after a delay.
