The Reality by Country

• Switzerland & Liechtenstein: Official Schengen signatories; days spent here count directly against your 90 days.
• Monaco & Vatican City & San Marino: De facto treated as within France/Italy; days spent here count against your Schengen allowance.
• Andorra: Technically outside Schengen, but because you must pass through Spanish or French border control to leave and re-enter, you need a multiple-entry Schengen visa if your nationality requires one.
