Use the centre as the easy part of the trip
Chișinău's central parks, market area, museums and broad avenues can be connected without a complicated plan. Spend the first day learning this core and the trolleybus system. Choose one or two interiors rather than crossing the city repeatedly. A central room keeps meals and evening walks simple; a station-side room is useful only when it matches the next departure.
The city is also the base for most Moldova outings. Do not schedule a winery, Orheiul Vechi and Soroca as if they were city districts. Each needs its own booking, station and return decision.
Identify the correct bus station
Moldova Travel lists Central, North and South bus stations. North is relevant for many northern journeys, while other routes use different terminals. Confirm the current station and the stop printed on the ticket before leaving the room.
City transport includes trolleybuses, buses and minibuses. Check the current route and payment method locally. Traffic can affect an airport journey, so leave a margin even when the distance looks short.
Book wine, airport and border journeys separately
For a cellar visit, reserve the language and start time and confirm the return. For Iași or Bucharest, compare the current road and rail options, including border time and the exact arrival. Keep Transnistria outside the suggested route in line with current official advice.
Add cellar packages, private drivers, airport travel and international tickets separately to the ordinary city allowance.
