Connect the first day along the waterfront
Konak, Kemeraltı and the Kordon can form one city day. Visit the bazaar while shops are active, then continue towards the waterfront and Alsancak. Give Karşıyaka its own block across the gulf instead of squeezing it between central stops.
Konak is convenient for the bazaar and historic core. Alsancak suits the Kordon and cafés. Before choosing an outer address, check the useful station or pier, the walk to the room and late-night noise. A cheaper room can require a more complicated arrival with luggage.
Give Ephesus a separate travel day
Use TCDD Taşımacılık to check a regional train to Selçuk. The train does not reach the Ephesus gates. Add a local minibus or taxi, admission, time inside and the return to Selçuk. A Selçuk overnight can fit better when Pamukkale is next in the wider trip; choose the actual onward journey before changing your base.
Plan the airport journey to the room
Check the İZBAN planner and transfer information for the station and any metro or bus connection. Confirm the last usable service for a late arrival. Read the card's tap-in and exit instructions before taking İZBAN; do not assume every city service uses the same charging procedure.
An airport-to-city estimate does not cover the final walk or transfer to your hotel. Compare that complete journey with the bus or shuttle offered for your arrival time.
Use the right pier and direction
Check the destination pier and return before boarding a gulf ferry. Keep an alternative for a late evening if that return no longer fits. Add Ephesus, airport travel and intercity tickets separately to daily spending, then replace meal allowances with the menus you actually choose.

Where to Stay
Konak suits the bazaar and central sights; Alsancak suits the Kordon and evenings near cafés. Check the actual tram, metro or İZBAN connection to the room. A district name alone does not mean the airport train stops beside the hotel.

Eating for Less
Boyoz with a hard-boiled egg is one breakfast choice. In Kemeraltı, compare displayed menus and portion sizes before ordering a full meal. Seafood, meze and drinks can change the total considerably, so use the menu in front of you rather than a fixed euro allowance.
