Rafina and Piraeus are different starting points. Compare the transfer to the port and the sailing together before deciding which ferry is more convenient.

Choose the port before the ticket
Seajets lists Mykonos routes from both Rafina and Piraeus. Piraeus connects with the Athens metro network; Rafina needs a separate road transfer. An airport arrival and a central Athens stay therefore produce different comparisons. Do not assume Rafina is always cheaper once that transfer is included.
Read the actual sailing
Use roughly 3–5 hours as an early ferry allowance, then check the selected vessel, intermediate island calls and exact duration. A conventional sailing and a high-speed seat can have different prices and facilities. Your ticket determines the departure gate and whether the service runs on your date.
Arrive at Tourlos with a town plan
The main ferry arrival is Tourlos New Port. SeaBus links it with the Old Port and Chora in season, while buses and booked transfers offer other choices. Leave time to reach your accommodation after docking. If you continue to Delos, its excursion boats use the Old Port, not the Tourlos ferry berth.
