Choose a four-hour daytime coach for the simplest trip, or the Baku to Balakan sleeper when its late departure and early Sheki arrival suit you. Include the transfer between the station or terminal and Sheki's historic centre.

Choose between a four-hour coach and an overnight sleeper
The Baku International Bus Terminal listing shows several daily Baku to Sheki departures taking about four hours. The displayed departures are listed at 13.60 AZN. Confirm the dated service, luggage rules and arrival before paying.
The ADY timetable effective 1 April 2026 shows the Baku to Balakan sleeper leaving Baku at 23:50 and calling at Sheki at 06:05. It is an overnight sleeper, not a Stadler fast train. Check the operating date, berth and current fare through Azerbaijan Railways before relying on it.
Include the city transfer at both ends
Baku International Bus Terminal and Baku Railway Station require different city journeys. In Sheki, both the bus terminal and railway station are outside the historic centre. Arrange the taxi or local transfer before choosing a late departure or early arrival.
The coach keeps the journey in daylight but uses about four hours of the day. The sleeper saves daytime and a travel-day room, but it can leave you waiting for accommodation early in the morning. Ask the Sheki property about luggage and early access before booking the train.
Plan the return before the flight
The reverse ADY timetable shows Sheki at 00:41 and Baku at 06:50. A coach has a different terminal and traffic risk. Keep the final Baku night shown in the seven-day itinerary rather than placing a separately booked flight close behind either arrival.
