Use the Old City as one part of Baku

Give Icherisheher and one chosen interior a focused block, then continue to the boulevard without rushing. Use another half day for the modern centre, museums or architecture farther from the walls. Exposed weather and long waterfront distances can turn an ambitious walking route into a tiring one.

Staying near the Old City helps with early walks. A property near a useful metro station can make the airport, railway and bus-terminal journeys easier. Check road noise, hills and the walk to the actual entrance before booking inside the walled area.

Arrange Gobustan as its own outing

The rock-art reserve lies outside Baku. A mud-volcano stop can require another road and a different vehicle. Ask a driver or tour to state the route, admissions, waiting time and return before you pay. If the extra stop is unclear, give the museum and landscape more time rather than improvising off-road travel.

Learn the entry and transport systems separately

Check the Azerbaijan entry and border guide before building an overland plan. Air entry, the limited Georgia rail exception and ordinary land-border permission are different rules.

Use the official airport transport information for the current Aero Express stops and operation. The metro has its own payment guidance. Confirm that the chosen card or QR method works for each journey instead of relying on an old fare.
