Choosing your journey
Use a direct coach for the simple town-to-town journey. Šibenik is close enough for a day out, but staying overnight gives the old town and its hills a more relaxed pace.

Allow around an hour and a half
The coach journey is roughly 90 km and commonly takes about 90 minutes, with variations by stops and traffic. Compare the date and carrier in the departure list. Split to Šibenik services.
Keep the arrival easy
Leave from Split's main bus station beside the port. In Šibenik, the station on Draga is near the waterfront, while many old-town rooms are uphill. Ask your host for the walking route with luggage before following the steepest map shortcut.
For a day trip, choose the return before setting out. A cathedral visit, lunch and one fortress are a more comfortable plan than trying to add Krka National Park as well.
Give Krka a different day
Skradin and Lozovac need their own transport from Šibenik. A city-to-city bus ticket does not include the park journey or admission. Choose the entrance, opening hours and return connection before booking that outing.
If you stay overnight, leave bags at your room and explore without watching a return-bus clock. The waterfront and lower lanes are an easier first walk than a climb straight from the station. Šibenik guide.
