Albanian Riviera on a budget
Choose between Sarandë, Ksamil, Himarë and Dhërmi, with practical advice on beaches, summer prices and getting around without a car.
A cheap room on the Albanian Riviera is only useful if you can get to the beach, buy dinner and return in the evening without paying for a taxi each time. Start with the town and the month, then compare accommodation.
The coast is not uniformly inexpensive. A July or August stay in a popular resort can cost much more than the same room outside the summer peak. There is no reliable rule that Albania costs a fixed percentage of Greece or Croatia.
Pick a base that fits the trip

Budget for the whole beach day
Before choosing a beach, establish where you can put your own towel and what a paid setup includes. A lounger price may apply to a pair with an umbrella. Food, parking or a minimum spend may be separate. Ask before settling in, especially where managed beach sections meet public access routes.
A simple example shows why these details matter. If a room saves two people €15 a night but the location adds €20 in daily taxi trips, the cheaper listing increases the trip cost. Those amounts illustrate the calculation, not current local quotes.
Travelling without a car

Choose one base for several nights instead of moving along the coast every day.
