Moldova on a budget
Use Chișinău as a base for a manageable Moldova trip, with clear daily spending assumptions and practical advice for booking a winery visit.
Chișinău makes a useful base for a short Moldova visit. You can spend a day around the centre, parks and museums, then add a winery excursion without changing hotels. Keep that excursion separate from the ordinary daily budget: the tasting, transfer and meal can easily become the largest planned expense.
A budget you can adjust
This example uses Moldovan lei, abbreviated MDL. It is a spending plan, not a set of live prices. Two adults share a private room, and the table shows one person's share.

A solo guest paying for the whole room would budget 1,600 MDL on these assumptions. Flights, airport transfers and winery tours are additional. Ask whether breakfast is included before allocating money to it twice.
Arrange winery visits before travelling
Use the Wine of Moldova winery directory to choose a visit, then book with the property. A tour's language, start time, tasting selection and meal inclusion matter as much as its advertised price.
Mileștii Mici's own website accepts tour enquiries and bookings. Confirm how you will travel through the complex and whether transport is supplied as part of your particular booking. Do not assume a ticket includes collection from Chișinău. If you are tasting wine, arrange a driver who will not drink.
For a simpler afternoon, consider a city tasting venue instead of combining two large cellar visits in one day. The city's winery and tasting-room listings help separate central options from excursions outside town.
