Choose an open ceramics visit
Museum Prinsenhof Delft is closed for renovation. The information point at Sint Agathaplein explains the work and current activities elsewhere, but it is not access to the usual galleries.
For a museum and factory outing, Royal Delft lists adult admission at €17.50, including an audio tour. Its summer free-entry offer for children aged 7–12 ended on 30 August 2026; the listed child ticket is now €7.50. Choose the standard visit before adding a workshop or food package.
Keep the centre and factory as separate parts of the day
Arrive at Delft station for the central visit, leave your larger luggage at the accommodation where possible, and walk towards the Markt through the canal streets. A factory booking needs its own travel time; it is not beside every ceramics shop in the old centre.
Our suggested day is the canals and lunch, followed by the factory if the craft interests you. A shorter visit can stay in the centre. There is no need to buy a painting class simply because Delft Blue is the city’s best-known product.

For a car-free visit, look between Delft station and the Markt. Royal Delft is a separate stop from the main square, so a room beside the centre will not place every attraction at your door.
Getting Around
Use the station and old centre as one walking route. Add Royal Delft as a deliberate extension, with enough time to reach it before your booking. Delft Campus and Delft are different railway stations.
Eating for Less
Choose a bakery lunch or a filled sandwich before the longer ceramics visit. If you prefer a table on the Markt, read the food and drink prices together so you are choosing the setting as well as the meal.
Worth Paying For
Royal Delft’s standard adult ticket costs €17.50 and includes the museum, factory visit and audio tour. It suits travellers interested in how the pottery is made; a painting workshop is a separate choice.
Skip / Save Your Money
Follow a canal walk and browse ceramics shops if you want a lighter visit. You can enjoy the town without buying a workshop or a fragile souvenir to carry through the rest of your trip.
Common Tourist Traps & Money Mistakes
Museum Prinsenhof Delft has been closed for renovation since January 2025. Its information point and outside programme are not the same as a normal museum visit. Do not plan a full interior visit around the information point’s opening hours.
