Is the cheaper airport really cheaper?
Put both options on one small budget before booking. The useful saving is what remains after the extra airport travel and any change to your accommodation.
Use a return-trip comparison
For each option, add the return flight, chosen bags, transfers in both directions and any extra local tickets. If an early departure means a hotel near the airport, include that night and the journey there.
Count the time you lose
Compare when you can realistically reach your room and when you must leave it. A low fare may still be a good choice for a longer stay, while an extra half-day of travel can take a large part of a weekend.
Keep different airports separate
Check the code on the ticket and the transfer provider’s destination. Warsaw Modlin and Chopin are different arrival points. London’s airports also have different rail and coach links. Never copy a city-centre transfer estimate from one airport to another.
Decide with your own priorities
A small saving may not suit a late arrival with children or bulky bags. A direct coach to your neighbourhood could be easier than a faster train with two changes. Choose the complete journey that fits your group, not the lowest headline fare.
