Day 2Train to Sinaia and a timed Peleș visit

Day 3Continue to Brașov and explore the old town

Brașov, Romania Take the train from Sinaia to Brașov, then reach your room from the railway station. Give Council Square and the nearby streets an unhurried afternoon. Black Church admission is 30 RON if its sightseeing hours fit. Keep an uphill walk optional and suited to daylight and weather. Sleep in Brașov.

Day 4Give Bran its own excursion
BrașovChoose a dated Bran Castle ticket and arrange both directions of the road journey. The standard adult ticket is 120 RON, with optional experiences extra. Râșnov’s fortress interior remains closed, so do not plan a second full castle visit there. Return to the same Brașov room and leave the evening easy.

Day 5Take the train to Sighișoara
SighișoaraAllow roughly 3h30–4h30 for a suitable direct train, then reach your accommodation before climbing through the citadel. The Clock Tower and History Museum costs 50 RON for an adult. If arrival is late, enjoy the old streets and leave the tower for tomorrow. Sleep in Sighișoara.

Day 6Rail to Sibiu and a walk through the squares
SibiuChoose a Sighișoara–Sibiu train, with a direct regional example taking about 2h20. Use the dated service rather than assuming a frequent shuttle. After arrival, leave bags and walk between Piața Mare, Piața Mică and the lower town. Council Tower is closed for restoration. Sleep in Sibiu.

Day 7Return to Bucharest with a full travel day
BucharestA direct Sibiu–București Nord rail journey can take about 6h30. Check the actual route and time before booking, and leave the day for packing, travel and arrival. Add a Bucharest night if you need a buffer before a separate flight; that extra night is outside this seven-day example.

Six nights and a final travel day
Use one night in Bucharest, one in Sinaia, two in Brașov, one in Sighișoara and one in Sibiu. Day seven returns to Bucharest. Add a final buffer night if your flight or onward ticket needs it; it is outside this example.
The Sinaia stop now includes the night there. Choose the Peleș opening day first, then book trains and rooms around it. If the museum is closed, change the dates or deliberately choose a town visit. A closed interior should not be the centre of the day.
Keep the castle excursion manageable
Give Bran one outing from Brașov. Standard admission is 120 RON and extras use separate tickets. Râșnov’s fortress interior remains closed, so do not count it as a second complete castle visit. Return with enough time to eat and rest.

Leave room for the town-to-town journeys
The train to Sighișoara takes roughly 3h30–4h30 on the checked examples. A direct regional train from there to Sibiu takes about 2h20, while Sibiu to Bucharest can take around 6h30. Check each departure and leave paid visits clear of expected arrival.
In Sibiu, walk between the squares and lower town. Council Tower is closed for restoration. If you want a longer museum visit, add a night rather than squeezing it between arrival and the final train.
Build the full cost
The daily subtotal is €679.00 for one traveller, using the allowances shown on each day. It includes six whole private-room nights. Divide only those room amounts when sharing. Food, local journeys and extras are per person.
Add the actual intercity tickets, airport journeys, castle and museum admissions, and the Bran excursion. The city budget cards are alternative examples, not extra amounts to add on top. Replace the chosen room allowances with the final booking totals, including mandatory charges.
Shorten the route comfortably
For fewer days, keep Bucharest, Sinaia and Brașov and leave Sighișoara and Sibiu for another visit. A return train outing to Sighișoara uses much of a day in travel, so it is not a simple replacement for the overnight stop.

Day 3: Sinaia to Brașov

Take the onward train on day three. Softrans’s own adult fare is 14.50 RON; compare CFR separately and add the city journey from Brașov station.
Day 5: Brașov to Sighișoara
Train · About 3½–4½ hours
Choose a dated direct CFR train and leave the citadel climb until after you have left your bags. Keep paid visits clear of arrival.

If you have fewer days
With fewer days, keep Bucharest, Sinaia and Brașov. Leave Sighișoara and Sibiu for another trip instead of making a rushed return outing.
