Take the train from Dinant to Luxembourg with a change. Connections can run through Namur or Libramont, so compare the whole journey before setting off. Buy a cross-border ticket covering the Belgian part of the trip.
Day 4: Luxembourg City to Vianden and back
Train
Take a train to Ettelbruck and bus 181 to Vianden. Allow around 90 minutes for the combined journey as a planning allowance, then extra time for the castle approach. Domestic second-class rail and the ordinary bus are free.
