Alfa Pendular takes roughly 2 hours 40 minutes to 3 hours, depending on the Lisbon station and departure. The published €35.70 fare is an ordinary adult one-way Turística ticket; Promo seats can cost less and are limited. Book the named train. Qualifying CP mainline tickets include the Campanhã to São Bento urban connection within the stated one-hour window. Intercidades is a different, slower product. |

Choose the Lisbon station
Search CP for Santa Apolónia or Oriente according to your room and departure. Allow roughly 3–3½ hours on a suitable mainline train, then add the local journeys at both ends. A reserved departure is worth leaving a comfortable arrival margin for.
Compare the full ticket
Promo fares can be available at least five days ahead, with limited seats. They are not a fixed €15 offer for every date. Compare the change conditions with the coach quote from Rede Expressos, including its actual terminal. A coach can take roughly 3½–4½ hours depending on the departure and traffic.
Decide whether flying helps
A Lisbon–Porto flight is a short flight segment, but airport travel, check-in and arrival take additional time. It can suit an existing air connection; compare the complete journey before buying a separate flight for a central hotel-to-hotel move. Campanhã and São Bento are different rail stations in Porto.
