What to budget for a short trip to Andorra
Count hotel nights, separate shared rooms from personal spending, and replace the example allowances with your actual bookings.
A short Andorra trip is easier to price by counting nights and choosing the paid outings first. A three-hour spa session, a museum afternoon and a ski day should not all use the same activity allowance.
Start with a room quote
Decide where you want to stay, then compare the full accommodation price for your dates. Check mandatory charges, breakfast, parking if needed and the cancellation conditions. A room price is shared only if the people in your calculation will actually share that room.
For an adjustable example, our town guides set aside €100 for one whole private room for up to two people, plus €35 for food, €8 for local travel, €20 for visits and €7 for extras per traveller. That produces €170 for a solo day with one hotel night, or €120 each for two people sharing the same room. These are chosen allowances, not average prices or available hotel offers.
For Canillo and Soldeu, the corresponding room example is €120. Change it to your quote before comparing the bases; these figures do not prove that one village is cheaper than another.
Count the departure day differently
The four-day itinerary includes three nights. Its example sets aside €300 for rooms, €140 for food, €32 for local travel, €80 for visits and €28 for extras: €580 for one traveller. Two people sharing the same rooms would allow €860 together, or €430 each. Day four has no room allowance.
International coaches, flights, shopping, ski passes, lessons and equipment are additional. The local-bus money is already in the daily figures; do not add those same rides again when reading the journey cards.
Replace allowances with the things you book
The national bus fare table uses zones. A published one-zone single starts at €1.90, but that does not establish the fare for every journey in Andorra. Tell the driver your destination and any connection before buying.
Casa d’Areny-Plandolit's standard admission is €7. That is a specific ticket you can put in your plan. A Caldea booking depends on the access level, date and time, so replace the visit allowance with the selected session price. Keep any other visits on that day as separate entries.
If you book the Tibetan Bridge, its bridge ticket includes the attraction's return shuttle from Canillo. The national bus to Canillo is separate. This is exactly the kind of inclusion that can otherwise get counted twice.
Leave shopping outside the daily total
Set a separate spending limit for purchases. Compare the exact product with prices at home and check the customs rules. A cheaper room does not compensate for a purchase you did not need, and a shop discount does not remove a declaration requirement.
