Plan a Milan visit with current transport prices, clear room-sharing assumptions and separate budgets for major attractions.
Milan’s room prices can change sharply around large events, so begin with your actual dates. A daily budget based on a quiet weekday may be a poor guide for a trade-fair week.
Once you have the complete room bill, choose the paid visits you want and leave a realistic amount for meals.
A sample day for two people sharing
The table shows one person’s costs, using an illustrative €120 room shared by two adults. Mandatory accommodation charges are included in that room assumption.

The ATM fare page lists the ordinary Mi1–Mi3 ticket at €2.20, valid for 90 minutes. Its 24-hour ticket is €7.60. Compare the pass with your actual number of journeys rather than buying one automatically.
The example excludes airport transfers, intercity travel and shopping. A solo traveller using the same room would add €60.
Match the attraction ticket to the visit
For the Duomo, compare the product you want: cathedral entry, terraces by stairs or lift, and any included museum access. The Duomo’s official ticket site is the place to check current availability and prices.
A broad sightseeing allowance is only a placeholder until those choices are made. Timed attractions can also dictate the order of your day, so reserve the important visit before fitting everything else around it.
