Alpine Reality: Snow Above 2,000 Meters

Many visitors arrive in Interlaken or Zermatt in May expecting green alpine meadows, only to find high hiking trails buried under meters of snow.

  • Valley Trails (Open Year-Round): Walks around Lake Brienz, Lake Thun, and lower Lauterbrunnen valley are open in spring.
