Budva combines a small walled old town with a long, busy resort coast. It works best when you choose whether the priority is the historic centre, nightlife or beach time. Those areas can involve different walks, traffic and noise.
Podgorica is Montenegro’s main inland transport hub and a practical base for an arrival, rail journey or short capital visit. The centre is spread across the Morača River, so a room that suits the bus or railway station may not suit every evening plan.
Herceg Novi sits on a steep slope near the entrance to the Bay of Kotor. Fortresses, old-town steps and the flatter Pet Danica promenade create two different walking levels, so the location of the room matters.
Žabljak is the main base for Durmitor National Park, Black Lake and longer mountain activities. A lake walk, a high summit and a Tara Canyon excursion are not interchangeable. Match the plan to weather, daylight, transport and experience.
