Choose the arrival that fits your stay

Renfe’s route uses Sevilla Santa Justa and Granada’s railway station. Alsa arrives at the separate coach station on Avenida Juan Pablo II. Neither arrival is at the Alhambra entrance.

Keep the transfer day light

Book the journey first, drop your bags and leave the afternoon for a gradual walk. Granada’s hills and the trip to the Alhambra take more effort than a flat map suggests. A tightly timed Nasrid Palaces entry on arrival day leaves little room for delays.

Use current rail information

Rail arrangements in Andalusia changed during 2026. Compare the current departure rather than an old disruption notice. Read baggage and change conditions on the actual train or coach ticket; promotional starting fares do not establish your travel date’s price.

Plan the arrival

The Seville guide and Granada guide explain the local journeys, places to stay and visits. Add the main travel ticket separately to your daily spending plan. The distance above is a straight-line comparison between the city centres; your train, road or flight route can be longer.

Fit the move between the two main visits

The seven-day Madrid and Andalusia plan uses this journey on day six, after the Seville stay. It leaves only one Granada night, so check whether the next day's Alhambra visit and onward departure genuinely fit. An extra night is preferable to protecting a fixed timetable on paper while rushing the visit itself.

For more time in Granada, compare the ten-day Andalusia plan, which travels there from Córdoba and gives it a full sightseeing day. If neither schedule feels comfortable, choose Seville or Granada as one base instead of splitting a very short stay.
