Day 4Train to Córdoba and the Mosque-Cathedral

Córdoba, Spain A suitable direct train takes roughly 45–60 minutes. Leave your bags at the room, then walk or ride towards the historic centre. Ordinary adult Mosque-Cathedral admission is €15; the bell tower and night visit are different products. Keep the riverfront for a slower evening.

Day 5Córdoba’s lanes, patios and river

Day 6Travel to Granada and choose an uphill walk

Day 7A full Alhambra day
GranadaBuild the visit around your fixed Nasrid Palaces entry and carry the original identification required by the ticket. Leave time for the Generalife and the paths between areas. Day 8Coach to Málaga and an easy arrival
MálagaChoose the Granada–Málaga coach and confirm its stations. After reaching your room, walk around the harbour or old centre. Gibralfaro is a separate uphill outing, so move it to tomorrow if the journey was tiring or you would reach the entrance close to closing.

Day 9Choose a museum or the fortresses
MálagaGive the Picasso Museum time if its collection is your priority, or visit the Alcazaba and Gibralfaro with a €10 combined ticket. Each fortress separately is €7. Pedregalejo is another local journey from the old centre; choose it for a seafront meal when you have time for the return.

Day 10Málaga departure
MálagaUse the actual C1 timetable if travelling to Málaga Airport and check the boarding station nearest your room. Add the walk, wait and airline’s arrival margin rather than counting only the short train ride. Keep any final café stop close to the route and collect your bags before leaving the centre.

Nine nights from Seville to Málaga
Keep three nights in Seville, two in Córdoba, two in Granada and two in Málaga. The trip ends on the coast rather than returning to Seville. Compare flights at both ends, including the airport transfers, before choosing non-refundable rooms.
This version gives Granada a full day between journeys. It is a less pressured Alhambra arrangement than the one-night stop in the seven-day Madrid and Andalusia plan. It does not include Madrid; adding it requires more time and a separate budget.

Check rail departures with Renfe. Timetable results decide whether a train is direct and how much time it takes; the map alone does not. Add the walk or local ride between each station and room, and ask where bags can be left before check-in.
Keep the main admissions on settled days
Use day two for the Alcázar product you want, leaving day three as breathing room for Seville. In Córdoba, choose a Mosque-Cathedral ticket that fits your arrival or the next day rather than trying to reach an early visiting window directly from Seville.
For day seven, book an Alhambra product that includes the Nasrid Palaces if they are the priority. The official instructions distinguish the fixed palace-entry time from the wider opening hours. Bring the required original ID, allow for the uphill approach and leave time for the gardens afterwards.
Málaga's day nine can be a museum or fortress day. You do not need to buy every admission in advance simply to fill the schedule. Keep the day-ten airport journey tied to your real flight and the current local transport timetable.
What the €653 subtotal includes
The ten day figures sum to €653 for one traveller, with nine simple-stay overnight allowances and no extra overnight on departure day. These are chosen spending allowances, not bookable room offers. Substitute the complete cost of your actual accommodation, including any taxes and fees.
Pay for intercity tickets, airport transfers, paid visits and optional excursions outside this subtotal. Meals, local travel and small daily extras already have allowances in the day notes, so do not add a city budget card as a second daily charge. A private-room booking covers the room; the simple-stay allowance here is for one bed.
Shorten the route by removing a stay
To finish in Granada, remove Málaga and arrange the real onward departure from Granada. To reach the coast sooner, Seville–Málaga offers a different route that omits the Granada stay. Rebuild the nights and bookings rather than keeping unused tickets from the ten-day sequence.

Day 6: Córdoba to Granada
Train · About 1½–2 hours
Choose a current direct train from Córdoba to Granada. Arrive at the railway station, not the coach station on Avenida Juan Pablo II, and add the local journey to the room.
Day 8: Granada to Málaga
Bus · About 1½–2½ hours
Compare Alsa’s dated Granada–Málaga coaches. Select Málaga city coach station if staying in the centre; airport departures and arrival times are different products.
If you have fewer days
Keep Seville and Granada if those are your main interests, or add Córdoba for a slower three-city trip. Removing Málaga also removes the final coast transfer.
