Getting to Paris from the airport
Choose the route to your actual accommodation, then buy the correct airport ticket. Charles de Gaulle, Orly and Beauvais need different plans.
Search for the journey from your arrival terminal to your accommodation, not just from the airport to “Paris”. The best route depends on the neighbourhood, luggage and time of arrival. Reaching a famous central station may still leave you with another long transfer.
Check the return journey at the same time, particularly for an early flight.
Charles de Gaulle and Orly
Charles de Gaulle connects to Paris by RER B. Orly is served by metro line 14, with Orlyval providing a different connection option. Read the route carefully so you buy a ticket or pass that covers the service you will use.
As checked on 8 September 2026, the Paris Region ↔ Airports ticket costs €14 at full fare. It is the airport product to examine for eligible rail journeys, rather than assuming an ordinary city metro ticket is sufficient.
Keep the ticket available until the journey is complete and follow the gate instructions. At the airport, look for the official transport sales machines or staffed desks rather than buying an unexplained ticket from someone approaching the queue.
Check your pass before buying twice
An all-zones Navigo weekly pass covers eligible airport travel on RER B and metro 14 within its validity period. Orlyval is excluded. Other day or visitor products have their own conditions, so the word “Navigo” alone does not establish airport coverage.

Beauvais needs a separate budget
Beauvais is outside these Paris airport rail arrangements. Check its official airport transport page for the current shuttle stops, departure arrangements and ticket price. Do not assume a ticket for Charles de Gaulle or Orly covers the journey.
Include the onward trip from the shuttle's actual Paris-area stop. A flight labelled Paris can still have a substantial ground journey attached to it.
Allow for the parts outside the timetable
Add time for baggage collection, walking between the terminal and station, ticket purchase and any change of line. Check service alerts before travelling; the normal route may change during engineering work.
If several people are travelling together, compare the complete public-transport cost with an official taxi quote or applicable regulated fare. Include luggage and the final walk when deciding which option suits the group.
