Book two nights in Oslo, then one in Bergen, two in Flåm and one final night in Bergen. The return to Bergen makes departure straightforward and gives you another chance to see the harbour. Leave any extra arrival or departure night outside this seven-day example until you know your flights.
The first two days stay in Oslo. Give MUNCH time if you want to visit, then choose a park or a neighbourhood for the rest of the day. You do not need to cross the city repeatedly to fill it. On day three, the Oslo–Bergen train is the main event. Its roughly seven-hour journey leaves an easy arrival evening, not a guaranteed block for paid sightseeing.
Day four uses the Bergen–Flåm connection, changing at Myrdal. Book the full journey, then check that your room is reachable from the station. The guide covers Flåm and Aurland, but an Aurland address can need another transfer.
Stay in the same room on day five. The Nærøyfjord cruise takes about two hours one way between Flåm and Gudvangen. Confirm its direction, return shuttle and total price before booking. Keeping the train on another day gives you time for lunch and makes the outing easier to rearrange if conditions affect the sailing.
On day six, return to Bergen through Myrdal. Leave time for the harbour or Nordnes after dropping your bags. A mountain ride is optional and works best when the view is clear. Day seven is departure, with time for luggage and the airport journey.
For one traveller, the chosen room allowances are two Oslo nights at €130, two Bergen nights at €135 and two Flåm nights at €170. Rooms total €870. Seven days of food at €45, local travel at €12 and extras at €8 add €455, making €1,325.00 for one traveller.
These are adjustable spending allowances, not available room offers or measured averages. For two adults sharing the same whole rooms, the rooms remain €870 while the other amounts double to €910. That is €1,780 together, or €890 each, before the separate costs below. Use a real room quote for your party before relying on that comparison.
Add the intercity trains, cruise and return shuttle, paid museum or mountain visits, and airport travel as needed. If a local ticket already sits inside the daily local-travel allowance, replace that allowance rather than counting the same journey twice. Published NOK tickets have not been silently converted into this euro total. Use your actual payment conversion when combining currencies.
Bergen's light rail line 1 takes about 45 minutes between Byparken and the airport. The ordinary adult one-zone fare is NOK 51. Add time to reach the stop, wait and complete airline check-in. An early flight can need a different transfer or another final-night location.
If you want more time in Bergen, add a night there or remove the Flåm side trip. Avoid compressing the cruise and both rail connections into a day simply to keep every stop. This plan already gives the longest journeys their own space.
